The 11th century Tympanum over the main door of the Church 

- thought to represent Saint Michael defeating the devil in Revelation Chapter 12

 

The first known Rector of Pitsford was

Peter de Hersfield, instituted in 1218 AD

The parish appears in the Domesday Book, 1086 AD
